Our mission is to bridge the gap for individuals experiencing homelessness by providing access to meals, shelter, and essential daily resources.
Vision
God Cares for You exists to inspire hope and provide meaningful support to the unhoused community and individuals in need. Through partnerships with service facilities, we help deliver housing, meals, transportation, essential resources, and life skills that foster dignity, stability, and growth.

Who We Are
God Cares is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness in the Metro Detroit area. We work directly with the community to understand their needs and respond with care, resources, and meaningful support that addresses their most pressing concerns.
Founded in 2012 by five sisters with a shared commitment to giving back and sharing God’s love, God Cares has grown into a lasting, faith-driven organization. Today, we remain rooted in that same mission; serving the Detroit community with compassion, purpose, and a deep dedication to uplifting those in need.

Housing Support
We help connect individuals experiencing homelessness with the housing resources and support services they need to achieve stability and thrive.
Living Support
We provide weekly meals to the homeless community throughout Detroit. In addition, we offer essential resources such as food, clothing, and job support to help individuals meet their daily needs and move toward greater independence. Visit our Get Involved page to learn how you can volunteer.
